Swedish/Relaxation Massage

Swedish techniques are the basis of the contemporary Western approach to massage also known as soft tissue massage.  Effleurage, petrissage, friction and vibration are just a few of the techniques that are used in Swedish massage.

“From the moment I walked into Andrea’s massage room I felt her great energy! Andrea’s knowledge of the body and how it works was very apparent in the treatment. I started out with a sore back and booked an hour massage and the work she was doing was so great I upped it to 90 minutes (thankful she had the time to  do that). For anyone looking for some amazing healing hands Andrea is your girl!”

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is the release of tension patterns in connective tissue through the application of a slow, sensitive and at the same time precise form of deep touch. Deep tissue massage is applied with an understanding of the structural relationships of the major body segments and helps the body’s structure to find an improved postural balance.

Deep Flow

Deep Flow is massage is an integration of all of the different techniques to best service the client. Connecting with the integrity of the body through touch to create smooth transitions from one technique to another.

Hot Stone

Hot Stone massage is one of the most popular spa treatments today.  Ultimate relaxation can be achieved through the use of hot and cold stones.

Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient healing art that involves stimulating the acupressure points of the feet, hands, and ears that correspond to every bodypart, including organs and glands. The practice of modern Reflexology is rooted in the ancient societies of Egypt, India and China where evidence suggests that the tradition has existed for 5000 years. Reflexology may help the body to re-establish equilibrium in order to achieve optimum health via stress reduction and improved circulation.

Pregnancy Massage

Every Momma needs some nurturing before she becomes the main nurturer. Besides feeling fantastic, prenatal massage can reduce swelling in ankles and feet, lessen lower back aches and pains, ease calf cramps and increase blood and lymph flow to help toxins exit your lymphatic system. The best part of pregnancy massage is the release of endorphins – our body’s natural pain killers and relaxants.  Increase your baby glow, you deserve to feel amazing!

*** best to have the go ahead from your midwife or OBGYN before any treatment or new activities during your pregnancy.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the art and science of using the extracted essential oils of aromatic botanicals to enhance health and beauty. Essential oils have many different therapeutic properties and can be used in baths, compresses, inhalations and as perfume in conjunction with massage.

Please note that all sessions booked with Andrea are not able to be used towards your extended health care plan if based in BC, but your receipts are still applicable towards your taxes.
